Sweet Terror of Memory – ΨΙΘΥΡΟΙ premieres at Nederlands Film Festival 2018
September 2018 It is with great honour to announce the premiere of my first directed experimental film, Sweet Terror of Memory – ΨΙΘΥΡΟΙ, officially selected by the Nederlands Film Festival 2018. In Dutch description here.
The film’s premiere is set at September 29th with an exciting line-up of 5 films, at Pathé Rembrandt 3.
Programmed as prefilm October 4th, followed by “Liefde is Aardappelen” aka “Love Is Potatoes” from Dutch filmmaker Aliona van der Horst, at the Louis Hartlooper Complex 3, scheduled 4pm. Order your ticket here at NFF, there’s still tickets available! The Nederlands Film Festival takes place from September 27th until October 5th in Utrecht.
Kamka Tocinovski, Silvina Buchbauer and Nikolina Kujaca are the film’s protagonists, entirely narrated – in English and Greek for the greater part, by Tiffany-Jane Madden and Amalia Charikiopoulou. Music by Florencia di Concilio, Sound Design by Peter Flamman. Post-production by Rafaël Croonen.
Coinciding with this premiere, I’m very proud to release the beautiful and unique filmposter. Graphic Design by Rob van Leijsen. Conceived in close collaboration, the concept mirrors the countries’ flags of both the Republic of Macedonia and on a subtle note, the colors of the Greek flag. The flipside, gives a hunch of Poems for A Scenario: A body of work of assembled poems of love, loss and transcendance of genealogical trauma endured due to The Greek Civil War. Based on recollections of women soldiers, daughters, mothers and grandmothers.
Printed in Riso by Knust Press in Extrapool, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
